I went to Arlington, Virginia - the National Cememtery. We laid to rest Ernesto "Gooie" Gomez, a fellow Crew Chief.. We had trained and deployed together to Vietnam with HMM-262. Gooie was awarded the Navy Cross for his actions in Vietnam. Gooie took his last flight and has returned to his home base. He is no longer turning and burning, but resting after a job well done. The hurt and pain never goes away whenever we lose one of our family, no matter when it happens.. He was a true hero and he is missed by all that knew him. Semper Fi - My Brother |

I am still trying to get the word out about my book. I did an on air interview with talk show radio host Brad Davis on WDRC in Hartford. He is also a proud former Marine. |
